Evaluating Learning Tools

Spending on and use of new educational technology is on the rise. But how do schools and universities know if the learning tools being used are effective? This session will offer a systematic approach to evaluating learning tools, including a framework for conducting formative, summative and ongoing evaluations of learning technology. The framework will be showcased with the Duolingo English Test evaluation completed by a team of graduate students at The Ohio State University, Master of Learning Technologies program.
